Flashabou

Arguably the two most popular flash materials are Krystal Flash and Flashabou. Each has its own properties and colors. Krystal Flash is stiffer and twisted, while Flashabou is flat and more supple. The amount of flash provided is determined to a certain extent by characteristics of the base material. Experiment with both styles, just tieing one or two flies with each material in the same pattern and give them a test. See how they react in the water. How they look in the vise doesn't mean a thing. It comes down to how the fish responds.
