This is immature hair. Only after its second season does it become mature. Charateristics include, one half the diameter of cow elk and well defined tips. Enables the tyer to tie a wide range of hair-winged flies from size 24 up to size 8. Early Season Yearling Elk has excellent spinning qualities, generally 1/2" to 1" long. Natural and Bleached.
