Edson Gold Metal Eyes
In the 1930's and 1940's Bill Edson was a well known fly tier, particularly for his streamer flies that were used in New England for brook trout and landlocked salmon. He developed metal eyes to use in place of Jungle Cock, which was relatively expensive even in those days. Over a period of time customers insisted on having these eyes on any of his patterns which included those such as the Light Edson Tiger and Dark Edson Tiger. Edson flies are featured in Joe Bate's book Fly Tying and Fishing Streamers. Package of 50 eyes Item# 10166
