Bead Chain

Bead chain is used for both fresh and saltwater pattern to add weight to the fly. Available in gold, black, silver. 18" per bag. To attach these eyes to the hook, use 50 or 75 denier gel spun thread along with some Wapsi Z-ment. Place a little Z-ment on the hook shank, wrap a small thread base where the eyes are to be placed. Build two small humps of thread leaving just enough space to place the bead chain between the thread humps. Figure 8 three or four firm thread wraps and then add a little more Z-ment to those wraps. Make a few more figure 8 wraps over the Z-ment and half hitch or whip finish the thread. Attach nylon or polyester thread of an appropriate denier to complete the fly. Item# 10161
